He was shot and killed in a drive by shooting last night. He had potential. It's a shame that he had to die so young. On the other hand, the way he was killed probably means he was involved in drugs or somethiing.

I was stunned when I heard about Darrent, a young man with a brilliant future ahead of him, senselessly dead. I am waiting before I proclaim that it was a drug issue or anything like that, because all I have heard to that end has been speculation, not fact. I really think its a bad idea to think "well, he died in this manner, so he must have been into this, that, and the other." And even if he was, that in no way mitigates the sadness I feel for his friends and family.

Kinda makes yesterday's brutal loss to SF seem a little less important now, don't it?

Namaste

I'm a Bronco fan as well as live in Denver. The area that the shooting took place is not in the best part of Denver (far from it). I think it was a random thing as this happens a lot in that area. Some crack head gang member had nothing better to do when he seen a fancy limo. Darrent was going to Ft. Worth to speak to school kids about staying out of gangs in just a few weeks.

I heard about Broncos CB Darrent Williams. That sucks that it happened to Broncos CB Darrent Williams. I bet the Denver Broncos heard about it, are sad that it happened to one of their own. They said it happened around 1:19 a.m. Monday morning.

Its such a terrible thing to happen to such a young person or any person at that matter. He had so much potential. This was his second season in the NFL. All he was thinking about was seeing if he had to get surgery done.

Now two young children are without their father

He was going to spend his off season talking to kids about staying out of gangs.

It sucks.

I would like to know what led up to this, where was he, was there an altercation or an argument? I find it hard to believe it's just a random drive by, showing a limo with bullets like that.

It is sad. But right now there is no motive. I doubt it if drugs were involved. I'm wondering if he was at a bar and had problems with someone.

I think it was a fan that was very mad because the broncos lost.

The fan thought it would be better if he killed one of the bronco's .

Imagine if it was T.O.

That is sooooooooo sad that people "assume" that if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time you are guilty of something. I hope nothing like this ever befalls you and you are judge as a result of it!!! My prayers are with his family.,

Yes that was tragic. It doesn't imply drug involvement necessarily. He may have just been in the wrong place at the wrong time.
