We cannot not spend precious time on defending this quagmire Bush has created for us and our progeny. We must by-pass him and his oil regime and salvage what we can for the common good of America. Political correctness and special interest groups be damned; we must save our country first and reinstate the Bill of Rights and the balance of powers of our government as ordained by our founding fathers. We need to become that "one nation" that once made us the strongest power on earth by purging those and the inane actions that have made us the laughing stock of the other world powers. We Americans must reclaim our fragile democracy and make it strong again! God bless America!

Well, it might show the world that we aren't so completely divided.
And on the other side of the coin, what is to be gained by constantly attacking the lame duck President? At this time, is it pointless? Or is it still too much fun? Why should he have detractors at this point and will it help to continue to attack him using personal attacks?

This is The UNITED States.
The one certainty is that nothing will be gained by trying to divide this country any further than it already seems to be.
With two years left in the presidency, "lame duck" isn't really an appropriate term.

Only time will tell how many middle of the roaders have become Bush supporters BECAUSE of the incessant bashing.
Kind-hearted people will always defend someone who is wrongfully abused.

people have to defend him because other people are constantly bashing him and it makes true American patriots mad to see a commander in chief, our President, disrespected in such a leisurely manner. liberals are nothing but a scathing cesspool of malevolence who are still bitter about losing the last two presidential elections, so they have nothing better to do than make fun of Bush as much as they can. celebrities bash him constantly, and in the most immature manners, because they have so little formal education, they don't understand squat about the gov't or politics. people feed off of them and their irrationality and therefore, we have thousands of people constantly bashing Bush on every little thing that comes out of his mouth. naturally, there has to be people on the otherside to make it a fair (and intelligent) debate

He is still your ELECTED president. What is gained by bashing him? You can disagree with him all you want, that is your right. I would support any person in the presidency regardless of his political affiliation.

Your freedom, your way of life, and possibly your life. The animals that our president and our soldiers are protecting you against want to come to this country and cut your child's head off. I can not believe there are people like you in this country that still don't understand what we are up against with these "puekey" little animals that will kill you and your family if they get the chance.

As a seriously mentally challenged person, Bush should be given more time and support to figure out what it is that he's supposed to be doing?
I dunno. That's the only defense I can think of.
