Though many Mexicans pretend not to speak English well enough, they make much more sense than Bush, unless you have some understanding of what they are really up to. Only Bush could say "most of our imports come from outside the country," but when you start to understand the "Darkness that spreads out before them," what Bush says comes to have all too clear of a meaning, and it is not good.

They could BOTH benefit from a few semesters of remedial English.
As you said, you expect a world leader to have a basic set of skills. Bush's is pretty basic for a Yale graduate.
And the immigrants? Well, I wouldn't move to either Canada or France without brushing up on my French, mon ami. Bien sur! I just see it as a basic courtesy; you live in a country, you learn their language.
But who speaks BETTER English?
On a given day, it's tough to understand either.
I would think the immigrants might have a little more motivation (as in better jobs).
Bush, I don't think gives rat's patootie.

You should be legal, anyways. If you don't speak English, I'm going to assume you aren't legal, and then I'm going to call the INS.

i dont know but at least some mexicans or latin people know where it is Irak or Vietnam or another country, what bush doesn´t know.
