my little boy is 4 months.
He is lovely and good, but sometimes struggles to sleep.
My friends were over with their 8 month olds.
They were saying that their baby wasn't so nervous like mine.
When he gets tired or excited he shakes terrible and is generally very stiff. He's not as relaxed as the other babies.
Is this something to concern myself with.
Also, he has a white spot on his gum, I thought it was a tooth, but it isn't and it also isn't thrush, do you Know?

He sounds exactly like my little girl. She is 17 months old and has always been very antsy! She also has a hard time settling herself down to sleep. She gets this little red face and shakes when she is upset, too. I think some babies are just very sensitive.
I don't know what the white spot is. Are you sure it is not a tooth? Take him to see his doctor.

I had a "shaky" baby...everyone used to point it out to me, it drove me nuts, because I didn't see it (I guess I was just used to seeing her and therefore became accustomed to it)...Anyway, as she grew older, we discovered that she has a learing disability and that is the source of the shaking....It's not serious, she will lead a normal life eventually, but is in special ed and has to recieve occupational therapy....

if they took medication while pregnant then that would cause it. if they also took pot or Marianne, cocaine, any illegal drugs it would happen. It might also be that the baby could be abuse. these are things I know that can happen. I not saying this is the case. the other thing something could of gone wrong durning her pregencency. tell her not to blame herself. The best thing is to see a doctor.

IF YOU ARE CONCERNED I WOULD JUST TALK TO PEDIATRICIAN. TO ME IT SOUNDS LIKE HE IS A STIFF BABY AND I DO NOT MEAN THAT IN A BAD WAY. WE HAVE 3 KIDS AND OUR FIRST WAS STIFF AND FUSSY UNTIL ABOUT 6 MONTHS THEN SHE WAS FINE. OUR OTHER TWO WERE VERY RELAXED QUIET BABIES. EVERY BABY IS DIFFERENT, BUT LIKE I SAID IF YOU ARE ONCERNED TALK TO DOCTOR.
GOOD LUCK!
