No, no mail today. New Year's Day is considered a National Holiday. Therefore, all of the banks will be closed along with all government offices like the Post Office. So, no mail today.

The U.S. Post office only delivers Express Mail on holidays. Any other mail just has to wait.

there is no mail delivery in the US today...and there will be no Mail delivery tomorrow( the 2nd)...except for express mail ... due to day of morning for Pres. Ford.

If by "we" you mean in the United States, then no. Elsewhere, I could not say. But remember that government employees generally get more, not fewer, holidays than the rest of us.
