I lost all sound on my PC. I'm not sure if it was when I updated my Windows XP Pro, added the Google Toolbar or updated to Internet Explorer 7.0.

Thank you pappy and Ron75 for your help. I did everything you said but still have no sound on my laptop. I deleted IE 7.0, but still no sound. Sound is enabled, not muted, and everything else. I believe it's in my registry. What are your thoughts? Thanks again.

Is your audio muted?
Do you have sound using headphones?
If you have msn messenger, do the sound test. If it fails the program will attempt to fix it if you desire.
Have you tried the Sound Recorder? (under Accessories)
Speakers turned on and plugged in?

Pls provide a little info. other than 'lost all sound'

First make sure that you have power to the speakers. Then start checking your sound options in Control Panel. It is possible that with all of the updating you got the speakers turned off.
