Getting someones hopes up is not right. How would you feel if you were the one who was getting led on by an ex. If you aren't interested in your ex why are you wanting to flirt with him? Aren't there other guys out there for you to hit on. Let him be free and make sure he knows you just want to be friends.

Yes, it is flirting. Think if your ex whom you still had feelings for stroked your hair, made you dinner, and held your hand while taking your puppy for a walk.
What would you think? It's easy to look for male companionship without attachment in the wrong ways (as in what you're describing above) because that's how females get males to notice them.
What you'e described though, is plain ol' obvious flirting and shouldn't be done to anyone you don't have more-than-friendly feelings for. That's leading someone on, and it's wrong.
Girls are smart and they understand for the most part how much power they hold over certain people (male or female), they know what they're doing- and they're doing themselves and everyone else around them a diservice by pretending they don't.
If you (or someone else that you're describing) wants to have a friendly relationship with their ex or any other male in their life, then take time to talk, play video games, and do unattached things like that. If you want to be unattached, then act unattached.
Oh and don't forget, Do to others what you would want them to do to you. You will reap a respectful, dignified image in the end. Who doesn't want that?

yes i probably would think you like him. i don;t think it's wrong to flirt without an attachment but if your ex still likes you it might be a little misleading

Id say it was flirting. Flrting big time actually. Do that in an office and its sexual harasment.
And no its more about saying 'Im available'.
Do it to an ex? Thats a touch cruel dont you think?

yeah she is deffinatly flirting with him... i dont think its right, if she never wants to give him a second chance, i think she is teasing him... she may be sending him mixed signals, and he might think that she likes him still, and she wants to date him again... making the whole situation bad.
