Well, I don't think the situation in Iraq is going to get any better and many more lives will obviously be lost. As the candidates for the presidency poise themselves for Iowa and New Hampshire, I think you may hear a lot of rhetoric concerning the war and a plan for national health care.

There is an Income squeeze in the UK in the form of higher utilites' bills, and taxes; especially the effects of National Insurance hikes - it directly eats into pay packets but since the burden is split equally between employers contributions and their employees it also puts pressure on them to limit pay increases - ten years of Labour is now showing its effects!
