Everyone says u should maintain ur character.... u can lose anything but u shouldn't lose ur character..... wat is it to have a good character? how do i know that?

Character means upright behaviour with outside world, purity of thoughts. If your behaviour is the way you like others to behave with you, then you possess a good character. Your thoughts should be like that you are not ashamed of yourself while introspecting. Your thoughs might be corrupt although it is not reflectived in your behaviour with people around you. Actually, you have to judge yourself regarding your character. If you judge yourself honestly, then you need not worry about others' views. You can lose anything but character because people around you and to whom you interact, will respond to you based on your image/character. A good character will always be helpful to you - be it help from others, respect from others.

Character is who you are when no one is looking....It's the you that you can't hide from...the person inside. It's your heart!
Like when you speak, what comes out of your mouth?? truth or lies? When you work/study do you do "just enough" to get by?? or do you perform your very best even when there is no grade or praise involved?? Character is doing the right thing EVERY SINGLE TIME. Being able to face friends & ENEMIES w/ courage. Character is respecting your elders,respecting woman, and respect of money. Paying your debts etc...
It's believing in a higher power like Allah/God...and giving thanks for everything, everybody that crosses your path, lands on your plate, and settles in your pockets!!

Character is what you are not only in front of people but also what you feel about you ,develope your character not only mean to be fair with everyone but also to be loyal to yourself,it is a thing ,a inner beauty which attracts people towards you.

who you are. When it says maintain your charecter it means to control your emotion and to make sure your not revealing something bad like...hyperness. Good charecter is to have morals, not be anything annoying like a 2face or something. YOu know be a good person everyone loves.

It has to do with being in touch with reality, standing for noble causes and possessing an attitude of determination.
Slick *****, for example, didn't have character because he was a sleeze and betrayed his wife, family and country.
