brown will look great but if your willing to be daring, try green. green liner looks great w/ hazel eyes. it brings the green out more. it'll look good either way tho. =]

Use a tranformer "Benefit" and "Makeup Forever" make great eyeshadow to eyeliner transformer.

Black eyeliner over just the top lip done lightly would look very nice on you, making your eyes pop.

Don't use the black on the bottom it's just to heavy and rarely looks nice for daytime looks, it's just to heavy, too glam, and too much for the average person.

Try to use the black on the top and green or gold on the bottom. The black will make your eyes stand out and th gold and green will pick up the beautiful mixed colors that appear in hazel eyes.

The brown would simply just blend in and would only serve you, if you want an nude all natural look.

Also remember if you're doing a dramtic eye, like gold or green to go very simple on the lips and cheeks, so you won't look over done or cheap.

Colors that look awesome with hazel eyes:
Gold Shimmer(not matte)
Dark Green,Dark Jade(any shade of green that is darker than your eye color, your eyes will look more green)
Navy(best in shimmer, but a matte is nice too)
Burgandy and Maroon

Remember the eye color always stands out when there is a contrast of color. Try not to over do the liner, it tends to cheapen your look.

G'luck and have fun.

Actually, why not try a very, very dark purple? I have hazel/green eyes and use shadow as a liner all the time. Try "Shadowy Lady" eyeshadow by MAC. It is a dark purple, nearly black color. The purple makes the green in my eyes pop, but because the eyeshadow is so dark, it reads almost neutral. Otherwise, brown is more subtle (day look) while black is good for evening.

I have brown/hazel eyes and I would recommend a darker brown shade, with a little bit of sparkle in it. Use a slanted, thin brush to apple it under your eyelid, but you probably already know that... In my opinion though, the best eyeliner is a stick brown eyeliner, not liquid. I use almay, hypoallergenic, bring out the brown eyeliner.

i have recently bought an estee lauder graphic quad eyeshadow from ebay. In urban metals. This has gold, green and grey colours but also has a firm black colour which is to be used as an eyeliner. Because of the texture it is made of it goes on light and evenly and looks great as an eyeliner.

I think brown would definitely look better with your hazel eyes. Not so overpowering. Try them both and decide which one you like best.
