as it was with Luke Skywalker.. it's never to old to begin training, only in your mind.

Yoda said the same thing about Luke Skywalker, but Luke turned out all right. Of course you could just blow off the council. That's what Luke's father did, when the council was being difficult. I'm sure if you look hard enough you will find some Jedi trainer to help you. Look in the phone book. May the force be with you !

Only by the "Power of the Force." Have you read any of the sequels to the movies written by other writers? There is one book I believe called "Jedi Academy ". At the Academy Luke Skywalker is accepting all ages and beings of those that possess the power of the force. It might be a bit hard to get to the planet the Academy is set up on though.
