Buy anyone, it doesn't matter. Just be carefull about the softwares downloaded in it. Get the originals and some good antiviruses.

Office Depot or Best Buy usually has good deals. I'd go with a Toshiba if I was buying (another one). Just make sure it has at least 512 Ram and 60 gig hard drive or more. But there is a lot more to look for but today's laptops are loaded usually. Just remember the cheaper it is the less you'll get. Just like buying a car.

Personally, I think Dell makes a good, durable case. There will be a lot of dropping and bumping going on. They also have good prices. You don't need a high end computer for college -- unless you're going to film school.

if its just for school i would say keep it simple...any laptop would work keep it under 1000$ see that its not a celeron....
has atleast 80 gb, dvd ,512mb atleast peferable 1 gig, screen size is your wish which determines the weight of a laptop...other than that doesnt really matter...u can either get it from dell...or go to the store and pick it up if its urgrent..but keep it under 1000$
