I'm not sure about crazy.
Maybe quirky or odd is the best way to describe them.
Most geniuses are those who go against the grain. They see and think about what is believed to be impossible. That is why they may seem "crazy", but in all actuality they are really just breaking new ground and discovering new things.
Crazy?....No......different? .......yes.
