Because adults would look more stupid than the kids do with their pants hanging half down with their underwear showing.

Most Americans in general don't know how to dress. Not just whites, but other races too. And not just boys either - I asked a question earlier and the answers I found were appauling! The question was "what's you favorite article of clothing that you own?" I got so many people saying a hoodie or their converse, I almost had to throw up! I'm an American white boy, and I for one, DO know how to dress. I usually wear clothes that fit, rather than most guys who only wear size XL. And I'll admit some days I do wear baggy sweatpants and a tshirt, but those are the days I just don't give a **** what I look like.

Because they might have wanted to still relive the nineties, maybe because the present have brought them bad memories, or maybe they just like the clothes from the era. It's not a crime, though, and some styles that were big in the nineties are big today. They could be starting a trend, and who cares what other people wear?

I am thirty five and I think I keep up with the fashions pretty good, although I do admit sometimes when your older you feel more comfortable in what you know, you don't want to change to much. We also don't really give a damn what anyone else thinks.

Because I look really stupid dressed like Brittany Spears.

Come to think of it, so does everyone else.

Look, I'm 45. My neck ties have got from WIIIIDE to narrow to bow to narrow to knit to WIDDDED to... So, finally, I gave up.

My athletic socks... you had to have socks to the knee when I was young. Then, one day my kids took my knee socks and replaced them with anklets. After that, they've started rising again, and I hear they'd back to the knees. Ya know what? I still sweat just the same.

I used to wear bell bottom pants... then they went narrow... now I see the same bell bottoms that I used to wear (except mine actually covered my underwear). I can't wait until plaid cords come back into style.

I don't dress "like the 90's." I tuck in my shirt because I was raised to believe that was neat and tidy, and I recognize this "untucked" thing as a fad, just like the tie-died shirts I once wore. My pants are comfortable, and completely cover my underwear. Shall I go on?

Signed,
guy born in 1961

PS - the 90's was an awful decade in terms of style and music.

People tend to dress and make up/hair in the period in which they grew up. It's a look they're comfortable with and what they feel they look good wearing. What I'm hoping is that I won't be seeing "sagging" on 40 year old men in the future.

What people wear isn't important.

I guess we haven't gotten all the beauty tips we need from you. So please please...PLEASE...let us know how to dress...Or maybe its because the youth of the world dresses like idiots. But by all means, be our fashion critic. I think you can do a world of help for all us people that just don't know how to keep up with the fads...

I think it's because it's what they feel comfortable in. My mom still dress's like that sometimes. She doesn't look bad. She's 38 so she mixes her style up. But you have to think... why do YOU dress they way you do? Because it's what YOU like.

generally older people aren't keeping up with the fashions...and it's usually people 40years +...they kept up with fashions in their 20s and 30s and they just stopping keeping up so they think that they are still in fashion...but, there are quite a few exceptions.

and kid's clothes don't exactly go out of fashion...a jumper for a girl and shorts for a boy are always in small children fashion.

people tend to keep the styles throughout their life that they had when they began to become aware of style. people that were in high school in the 90's will probaby trend that way forever. why do you think old people wear slacks? i've seen people permanently stuck in the 80's. people that went to high school in the 80's. they still wear their hair all big with 50 cans of hairspray sprayed on it. i think it happens to every generation.
