I was on a post about someone moving to Canada, and one of the answers said that pot was totally legal, same with prositution. I was laughing so hard at that! WOW!

I'm also from Winnipeg. I can understand what you're saying, but I think the poster was saying it in a totally wrong way.

i live in canada (winnipeg, manitoba) and yes to all your answers to a certain extent though. pot is legal if you use it for medicinal purposes and i think it's pretty stupid but there is this thing our city does every year called "smoke pot for one day" thing where everyone in the city hangs out at the legislative to smoke pot for one day. as for prostitution, it remains legal until cops see them hanging out on the streets looking for customers. it's legal if its private. it's kind of wierd but if you look at winnipeg's yellow pages you will see them under "escorts".
