yep, sounds like round ligament pain. it's the ligaments that are in front of your uterus, that aren't used to being stretched with your growing tummy. they will come and go, sometimes and ache, sometimes severe jolt of pain. nothing to worry about, and it won't hurt the baby, just another sign everything is going the way it should!

I had cramping like you are describing throughout my first trimester. My doctor said it was normal. It's caused by the egg implanting into the uterus. This is most common in first pregnancies. Your uterus has to get used to the stretching. If it continues after the first trimester, or the pains get worse you should call a doctor. Congrats on your pregnancy!

I'd monitor it. Though it could be nothing but your body getting used to the pregnancy, still make sure that you don't see any blood. Try not to do anything strenuous. Don't lift anything big and heavy either. At this time, miscarriages are common so take it easy. I experienced the same crampy feeling and now have two beautiful daughters who are driving me nuts. Maybe that will be you too.

Call your Dr. and ask all of your questions, as a first time Mom( which it sounds like) don't feel any question is silly, that's what your Dr gets paid for.And I really don't think anything is wrong your body will go through lots of changes over the next few months,. Congrats and take good care of yourself.

drink lots and lots of water until the pain goes away. Water can help ease the pain. Now if you start bleeding, call your doctor immediately.

I still experience that and I am 4 mon. Oh, I don't have the lower back pain though, you might want to get that checked out.

Any abdominal pain in early pregnancy should be checked out. It is probably nothing to worry about, but better safe than sorry. There is always the risk of an ectopic pregnancy, although rare, can be very dangerous.

probably round ligament pain. The ligaments holing your uterus in place are stretching. I had them all the time when I was pregnant. Especially when I would stand up after sitting for awhile. Stand up slow if this is when it often happens. That helped me out some.

I would go to the emergency room if I was you. It sounds like you might have an ectopic pregnancy, that the egg has implanted in the tube. My mother had one of those and nearly bled to death miscarrying.
