The fact that many Americans on this group think that Indians are americans, should tell you why your Indian scale is already a superior one.
It is good to pit yourself against the best. Nobody said that the americans were/are the best - just that they are the best organised, carry no excess baggage of the past, are open to experimentation, and are great at executing and packaging their work.
If the market for what you do is the world, the most successful in the world is your competition. They wrote the scale for you to measure against.

It is because we live under American guidelines and laws; it is not just Indians, but Mexican, blacks, minority of all nationalities have achievements measured by American Standards. But who make up the Standards! Certainly not the best, nor the smartest, the strongest, but the people who are powerful, rich, famous, very respected, authors, educators, politicians, and those in the majority!

When you classify yourself as Indian, are you native American or from India? Unfortunately, if you are native, you are a minority and being as such, history unfortunately is always written by the victor. Measuring achievements? Through the support and encouragement of other native peoples. This is from a Metis in Canada.

You measure your achievements on your own scale. Achieve according to your own goals. Don't allow the government or society to decide what is your achievements.

i have absolutely no prejudices or no contra-indications. well indians feel that by living in america they need to go an extra mile to prove themselves. but it is not always true. but what i feel is indians need to be more hardworking. but i do not agree on what mike said.let him not make such rude statements in future,b'cos if america did't have multiracial people it would not stand where it is today.
just put in your sincere efforts and do hard work, and at the same time think and act smart. i don't think u should have any problems
