I've seen those players play, and a few of them do not belong in the AHL, but the NHL. I think its all politics, what do you think?

First! I'm a Canadian! I support one of my
best friends and his friends. go to
www.sergepayerfoundation.org and you'll see an awesome player :) Not only is he a personal friend but a true role model on and off the ice/When you watch someone play well for another team and any player...and not given an opportunity to play more its disgusting and a slap in the face to their talent. A team has to blend so, Sens!!! Change it up!!! Bring up some of your guys and let them BLEND with some of your current guys and we'll see you in the Stanley Cup!!! it doesn't matter where you are located SUPPORT your local/favourite team. These players have had their game changed aka the shoot out instead of extra OT and that too just ticks me off!

Why is the Coaching Organization KEEP sending back players in their roster that could really make a difference? Yes, some of their top players are great, but they need to switch up the ones that are lagging and not doing their job.

To the players of the Binghamton Sens...I'm rooting for you, but it seems like no matter how we the fans try and promote you, the organization doesn't see with their eyes your true talents. God bless all of you!!

Muckler should learn fron the sabres. We have so much depth in rochester that when any player goes down they can be replaced. Why bring in Gerber when you can give the work load to Emery and bring a kid up from the minors to back up Emery and get him some experiance.

Everyone who has a local AHL team thinks this about the players on their team. There are lots of reasons, however, that they might not be playing in the NHL. I am not sure what you mean by "all politics." What politics would be in play here? The Senators need to win games, and that is the only politics that matters, because that is where the money is. The thing is that what constitutes success at the AHL level does not necessarily translate to success at the NHL. Obviously the Senators' management does not think these players are ready, or the WOULD bring them up. Fact is, if so many players on the Birmingham Senators are so darned good, then why are they in last place in their division? No offense, it is great that you support your team, but maybe they are not as good as you think they are.

players just can't jump up to the NHL. they had a team last year and it had nothing to do with the farm team. yes some players can jump up but allot of them can't it doesn't matter if he had 200 points with the AHL team it doesn't mean he will do the same in the NHL. he would get less ice time and maybe not even play on the power play. allot of players throughout the years have been drafted very low and can't cut it in the NHL and some players have been drafted very high and become super stars. look at the Pittsburgh Penguins farm team last year they were the best but the Pens were crap it does mean nothing. the Binghamton Sens players will not help there problems.
Also with today's salary cap the GM need to really take care of the money there spending, the Montreal Canadiens are close to the salary cap and had a player 3 weeks ago get a call up, he was playing great with 4 points in 4 games, but the more he played the more he would get paid and it was getting to close to the cap. that's another reason.

It doesnt have anything to do with politics. Pure and simple it is the salary cap and waiver process in todays game. Because only a couple of the guys have 2 way contracts the team cannot send them down without first clearing waivers and then they have to carry the contract even though the player is sent down. Plus if they bring kids up some of them would become eligible for free agency earlier therefore they risk losing some of them earlier than if they just let them develope their game in the minors.Unless they make a fairly big trade (Daniel Alfreddson?) there is little chance of seeing any of the minor leaguers being called up. This situation is a problem across the league, a perfect example is in L.A. where they have had serious injury problems with their goaltending and the best goalie they have (Jason LaBarbera) can not be recalled this season without clearing waivers (that wont happen and the Kings know this) so they have to wait until next season and allow him to make the team at the start of the season (or he becomes unrestricted free agent). This is the same scenario that the Senators face so unless they pull off a trade you pretty much have to live with the guys they have now. It is the reality of a Gary Bettman NHL (which rather sucks if you ask me, Bettman is a cancer that could kill hockey).

The coaching staff of any NHL team only bring up players from their minor league team that they feel fit the teams most immediate needs . The Sens must not feel that the players they have in the minors are not ready to make the jump to the NHL or the team is considering shopping around the league for experienced NHL players.

The NHL salary cap has affected the way teams manage their rosters. Also, many players in the minors need to clear waivers if they are to be recalled. I don't think politics have much to do in this instance. Besides, the Binghamton Sens aren't exactly lighting it up in the AHL this year.

Their "good players"? Who would you suggest fits that criteria? As a B-sens season ticket holder, I can tell you that it's slim pickings this season. Some of which is inexperience on the part of the younger players; however, most of the problems with the B-sens this year stems from problems with the coaching staff and leadership. Their power play is nonexistent as is their lack of defense. The poor goalies are getting clobbered with pucks that should have never crossed the blue line.

Ottawa has called up the players from their AHL team that best meet their needs - Payer, Hennessy, and Hereema. Their earlier call-up of Bois baffled me as he is clearly not their best offensive player.

its the cap man. its bringing us down! however, if not for the cap, would the sens have existed forever? In order to avoid paying a player nhl money, the team, especially the sens, often prefer to go short a man on the roster, to save money. They need the excess money for late season pickups. Payer had a good game against the thrashers by the way.

Why screw with a good thing, we don't need anyone from Bingo. by the way we did just call up Sarge Payer to cover for the injury to Vermette. That's what the Baby sens are for to cover for injuries and obvisouly theres a reason they didnt make the team in the first place
