The Greeks never developed any kind of future history for their gods. The idea of a final battle comes from Norse mythology, where it is called Ragnarök. The phrase "twilight of the gods" is generally associated with Richard Wagner, who wrote an opera (Gotterdammerung) on that theme, based on the Norse myths.

But basically, everything in Xena was just made up for the show.

Some episodes had stories very loosely based on Greek mythology (Prometheus, Ulysses) and the Bible (David and Goliath, Abraham and Isaac), but most of it was made up for the show.

The Twilight of the Gods is in Norse (Viking) mythology, but not in Greek or Roman mythology.

In the movie Jason and the Argonauts (1963), Jason predicts that someday humans will learn to live without the gods, and the goddess Hera says that the gods will cease to exist when no one believes in them anymore.

Some of the stories from the show were found in Greek mythology yes, however Xena herself wasn't written in Greek mythology.

I am pretty sure that it is just a made up story. Though I am not 100% positive. Try searching greek mythology or Xena on google. I love Xena warrior princess. My black lab is named Xena and our puppy is Gabby. hehe
