Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting early Monday, his limousine sprayed with bullets in downtown Denver just hours after the team was elimated from the NFL playoffs.
Team spokesman Jim Saccomano said police called him about 3 a.m. from the scene and told him three people had been shot, and the 24-year-old Williams had been killed.
A little after 2 a.m., a white Hummer limousine was fired on from a vehicle that pulled up along its side, police spokesman Sonny Jackson said.

I feel for the family of Darrent Williams. They are the ones now who have to try and understand why someone would kill a man who got the chance of a lifetime to live a dream that most of us will never even be able to imagine. This kinda puts a different perspective on life and games, now doesn't it? He is fine now where he is, his family are the ones suffering. If you pray, pray for them, but don't worry about Darrent anymore, he will be fine for the rest of eternity.

What do you mean Denver fans? It could be just a random drive by. What are the odds that in a huge city, they knew they were opening fire on his car? If they did it could have very easily been a fan of a different team, who just didn't like him. You are going way out on a whim suspecting it was a Denver fan who killed him because he was a player.

i know that that was really sad, but i don't understand why you have blamed it on us fans... that's pretty confusing.
i hope they find the guy who did it and do something really notnice to him because of the pain he has inflicted on the Broncos, the Family, and us Fans!
