The screen is black with white letters and will not allow me to enter Safe Mode or anything.

It says Safe Mode, Prompt Command, Last Default that worked, Normal start. then it repeated goes over a 30 second scroll, but it does no good to click anything. The mouse won't work. Only up and down arrows, but it only rolls back the same thing over and over with black screen and the above. You can't type anything and I have run the reboot CD which does nothing. Help!

well you have to find out what's wrong
but easiest way if to pop a windows cd and reinstall everything
it could also be your BIOS not booting up properly

If you can see atleast some text on the screen, that rules out most hardware problems except hard drive ones.

What you need to do is look at the last couple of lines of text on the screen, it could be an error message which would help figure what's wrong.

If it says something about a disk boot failure, you can try inserting the Windows CD, rebooting (you must enable 'boot from CD' as the first boot device, in the BIOS by pressing DEL while starting up) and booting the Windows CD. The 'repair' option is what you want.

If you can't see the hard drive in the BIOS settings, you might need to get a new hard drive, or replacement if it's under warranty.

"The screen is black with white letters"
These letters say something right? Mind telling us what exactly?

There is nothing any of us can do until you tell us what the white lettering says.
