do it all the time.
from middle ages to stone age, warmth and clothing are easier in middle ages as in the SCA, stone age is going camping, with naught but a knife, bit of twine and maybe fishhook.
and yes I can make fire from sticks or flint and steel and yes I can make arrowheads from stone. though I suck at weaving.

I'm sure I could survive... if I had the necessary skills to acquire my own food and if I could fend for myself. It would be might difficult to survive if I was taken unawares and all of a sudden thrown into the wilderness without any technology. But you'd be surprised what people will do when the going gets tough.
However, if this is in respect to luxury technology, like T.V., then of course yes. It might be a little hard having to face that facts that they're no longer available to me, but given the fact that others have lived without it, it's not all that bad... I hope...

I am not so sure that I could. Are talking about removing all of the technology? Going back to the days of the settlers? I am pretty sure that I am too soft of a person. I am not talking about no TV but no car, no central heating and AC? No prepackaged food? No, even if I could survive I would not want to. Not with knowing what it is like to have the easy life. Now if I had grown up without it and never knew of it I'm sure I could survive, probably even thrive with the techno stuff.

Yes, I most certainly could. Not only because I know how to get by without modern conveniences(I was a Girl Scout for years), but because I love the simple beauty of the world around me. The last vacation I took was to a little place outside of Asheville, NC, and we stayed up in the mountains where we didn't have even a cell phone signal. Give me a cabin or even just a tent in the woods, a good book, and the basic necessities to keep warm and eat, and I'll be just fine.

I must admit I am addicted to modern technology such as the iPod and the internet, but if we didn't have them any more I guess I would eventually get used to not having them and would find something else to do in my spare time such as reading. After all, people have survived for thousands of years without any of these things.

I have a friend who does, he lives on a river in a log cabin, no modern anything but fro an old generator that is not working too great and uses gas to run and he is running out of gas all the time, they have a sauna to keep clean, burn candles, grow veggies in the garden and hunt game on the land, he comes into town to take showers now and then, it is beautiful where he lives, he is out of range for cell phones too, so very quiet, when we go to visit him sometimes we bring all the fixings for dinner, other times he cooks up a wild game feed that is out of this world pretty cool!

There's a guy who lives down the street from me. He had the electricity turned off years ago. So, sure. Many people don't like the complications or expense that modern technology brings....although I certainly wouldn't consider electricity modern technology.

Yes, but it would be difficult physically and mentally.
I guess I could grow or gather enough plant foods and hunt or fish, too because I'd ave plenty of time in the day to do it.
Mentally, I would have a hard time without the computer.
I can do without a phone, television, and radio, but my main entertainment and communication comes through my computer.

Yes I was a young adult before Atari come out. There was no games, no computers ,no cell phones. I still don't own a cell phone.I think children got more exercise back then now a lot of them just stay in and play video games.Games are o.k. in moderation but people need to have physical activity.
