NO, you can erase a CD-RW though.

Sorry, this is not possible. A CD-R disc is recordable only once and cannot be erased. If you want to erase your music, pics, or other data, then you must put it on a CR-RW, which is re-writeable unlimited times over.

Sorry mate, but these are the facts.

Yes this is possible and you can still use the disc. You need a machine called a 'degouser'. This uses a magnetic field to erase the disc/tape/cassette completely of any information but the chances are that you wont be able to get hold of one of these machines very easily.

You can erase CD-RW discs, but not regular CD-Rs. They are designed for one-time writes. You'll have to do it all over again.

Unfortunately not, this can only be done on a CDRW and not a CDR.

To be honest blank CDs are so cheap that you'd be as well throwing it away and using another one

no, sorry you cant, if it was a cd-rw then you could have. That's why i get two types, the normal cd's so you cant erase anything from it accidently and the cd-rw's to change stuff on it.

Yep, you can put the old CDR into a shredder and then put a new blank CDR into the computer to start over.

CDRW disks have the capability of being erased.
