I am doing research on my family history, and find that in 1761 they ran a grocery shop, am interested to see what sort of products would be available in that period and what life would be like

there was no grocery shop in 1761. maybe a few street vendors and then you would get fruit or veg and smoked or salted meats.

They would have sold dried ingredients I would imagine. Things like flour and oats would have been weighed out by the store owner to the quantity requested by the customer into a paper bag, or wrapped in a paper parcel.

Dried goods,bread,eggs,produce grown by local farmers. Bolts of fabric,needles and thread if they were in the general store business.
