Don't skip the glycerin. You need it!

For nice sized and fairly stable bubbles, add glycerin (aka glycerol) to the mixture of 3-4 spoons of dishwater detergent to a cup of water. Experiment a bit with the amount of glycerin, I use one spoon of glycerin for each 3 or so spoons of detergent.

I'm not exactly sure of the proportion, but I've read that its a combination of glycerin and water. Unflavored gelatin was described as having the needed glycerin although I never actually tried it.

3 tablespoons Dawn Dishsoap to 1 cup water. Add more or less soap/water until you get bubble "goop" for wands.
