Keeping the gnome:flamingo ratio in close balance is more important. Those ornamental windmills have a tendency to collect gnomes but flamingos seem to shy away from them. Did you hear the terrible news that the pink flamingo factory has shut down? Take good care of your flamingos, they are now an endangered species :(

Actually it's not wheather you have even or odd amounts. Just the fact that you are using them at all should be good enough. If you want to go all out. You might place a half a dozen or so Gnomes, mixed in with the Flamingos. A nice touch. : ) And lets not forget a nice assortment of various sized miniature windmills. Good Luck

Hahaha!
Odd or even number of flamingoes, those birds fly away at night, perhaps to roost in someone else's front yard.
While you are at it, those white iron borders, painted metal tulips, chili lights, wishing well, cement toadstools, cement frogs, cement dragonflies, gnomes and birds with propeller wings do nicely complement the pink flamingoes. Please remember to dress up your door too with a beaded curtain. The type that goes "clinky-clank" when you pass through. Same go for the window curtains.
After the decorating is done, please step back and enjoy the yard. Quite a feast for the senses!

Definitely odd number groupings. Don't forget to up-light them for that dramatic nighttime effect.
Also, if you are really ambitious, this site has some interesting holiday accessories that should be flamingo friendly...

Always use an odd number of anything. How about a birdbath instead of flamingos.

It depends on how your lawn is arranged. If you have a walkway, then you might suggest placing an even number along each side. If you lack a walkway, or your lawn is quite large, you could put them sporadically along the yard trying to keep as close to the rule of thirds as possible to achieve the optimal aesthetic feel of the scene.

Go totally wild!!!
A few is never enuf of these 'pink' wonders . . .
Pack as many as you can in the yard - then sit back and watch the traffic increase . . .
Oh - and don't forget the black, leaning, cowboy silhouette - propped against a post or tree. . . watching/guarding the flock of odd-numbered birds. . .

I agree with the groups of three...any great decorating scheme will always follow the groups of three...and don't forget to line the back of your curtains with pink as well to help tie the colours together and carry through to the house

Odd. Never put an even grouping together. It just looks bad.
