Hussein deserved what he got... it's a karmic cycle... watch any documentary on him and you'll shudder. The guy murdered his own sons-in-law, could have killed his son, brutalised an entire village, gassed Kurds... the list goes on and on.

However, I am sure USA will be really unpopular for how they handled the whole issue. If only they had been more sensitive... broadcasting his hanging on TV? Splashing pictures of his death in the newspaper? Besides, USA's arrogant, "we don't need to give explanations" attitude throughout the Iraq invasion ensures that the good in executing Saddam is lost on a lot of people. I'd like to reiterate that I think Saddam deserved what he got, every bit of it. If only this could have been achieved with less bloodshed..

If anybody in the world deserves the death sentence, Hussein certainly did.

As a Christian, I believe that all killing is wrong.

Also, they should have allowed his other trials to conclude first, specially the trial for gassing Kurds. Guess SOMEBODY didn't want him to testify as to which country bought the gas for him.

Your not serious. I am seeing questions like this today. What, you people have hangovers?

He was judged by a jury of peers. They didn't even try him for gassing thousands of Kurds.

Also, He didn't get to appeal.
