All I know is that Guy de Maupassant used this style frequently and that it describes everyday or more normal events opposed to romanticism or surrealism. If anyone has anymore details please tell me. Thankyou!

The french naturalism most famous writers are Honoré de Balzac, Gustave Flauvert, Emile Zola, Stendhal, Leon Tolstoi and Anton Chejov.
The difference between the french naturalism and the realism its for many authors not so clear and it didnt last for long.
However, the main idea of this type of literature its to represent a reality so perfect like a documentary. All the ideals and the surrealisms and opinions or feelings of the romanticism are gone and not taken for real.
