My illegal husband says if I love him I would help him with his papers so he can have a better living and support us better. We lived together for about a year then I left him to figure things out, and since then he has tried to get back with me. He treats me nice and tries to show how much he loves me. I constantly hear stories of people in a similar situation only to find out that their partner cheated on them or left them once they got the papers, so that is what scares me and is holding me back. Is it my insecurity, or should I trust him and help him? He will pay for the process. Now he is telling me that if i want him to come back to live with me i have to help him with his papers to show I want a better life for him, and because he doesn't want to go through the same struggles when we lived together due to him not having a job. Otherwise, he will move someplace else and we can no longer be together. What do you think?

You shouldn't marry a needy man.
If he really loved you he'd not be concerned with papers all the time. I know you love him, but it sounds like he's using you. Find a man who has as much security to offer you as you have to offer him, because the guy you are with sounds like a loser.

If you chose to have some one that needs papers to be here then you need to help him. You are letting your insecurities block your thinking. Believe it or not you can lose him either way. Does it make you feel in control to have upper hand on this person? And do you plan on supporting this person? You said he has no job. Do you read any of the questions posted here? If someone is going to cheat they will cheat no matter who they are or where they are from.I have to wonder if he would be better off if he did go back to where ever he is from. Sorry but you sound unstable.

Hey girl, if you love this man, you would want to help him anyway you can. Dont just withhold some help out of fear of losing your man. Trust me the BCIS woouldn't let him keep his papers if he got themand dumped you, they look for those scumbags. Just file hid paperwork, and he can work legally, and such aburden will be shed from his shoulders. Also make sure he isn't sending money "home" regularly, it indicates he has another woman there. Even if he says its for his mom.
If he bails after getting the green card, call the INS and turn him in. They'll pick his *** up!
That is all.
