A nymphomaniac is a term for a woman (as is satyr for a man) who chases sex compulsively. We now know that this is an addiction as surely as heroin or alcohol or spending or eating. Back in the day, the term was used freely and in a lot of trashy novels. It is no longer used in the scientific or medical community.

It is an obsessive/compulsive disorder that wreaks as much havoc as those above. It can lead to broken marriages, inability to commit, loss of jobs, fear of intimacy, inability to trust, financial insecurity, and placing oneself in harm's way. These folks have their own 12 step program to recover from this.

To find a figure for your class (which I doubt), look up compulsive disorders on Wiki. That percentage is about 3% of society for all OCDs.
