A greebo is a person who listens to rock/punk/metal music and doesn't follow fashion trends.
They don't usually class themselves as being a greebo but are assigned that title by trendies/rudes. Some of them may look quite threatening but generally they are all around nice people and they resist starting fights or arguments with people who do follow trends. However, if you were to ask one if they had anything against trendies or rude boys their answer would seldom be 'no'. Almost all Greebos have some kind of disliking towards trendies mainly because they make their lives hell. Abuse is hurled at them when they walk down the street and they frequently get the crap beaten out of them for absolutely no reason other than the fact that they are different.
Greebos also seem to be fairly itelligent people if not it one way, they are bound to be intelligent in another, this may contribute to why greebos rarely start fights with trendies and rudes, because they are intelligent enough to know that it wont solve anything.
Greebos are alternative people who just want to be treated fairly.

Gary H has got it. The word comes from 'greaser' and refers to the fact that motor bikes of the time were very oily and greasy.
Mark you! Terry Pratchett's Greebo is even more scary than a wild biker from the fifties.

Greebo is a character in Terry Pratchett's Discworld books. He is a foul-tempered one-eyed British Blue tomcat whose human, Nanny Ogg, insists against all the evidence that he is a sweet, harmless kitten. In the course of the books, he has killed two vampires, eating at least one of them. ("The bat squirmed under his claw. It seemed to Greebo's small cat brain that it was trying to change its shape, and he wasn't having any of that from a mouse with wings on".) In Lords and Ladies, Greebo's overall attitude is best described in a reference to Schrödinger's cat:

A "greebo"-wasn't that term around in the '50s-'60s to denote biker's/hells angels?-"they "rarely pick fights" someone posted?, ha, any "mod" who went to Brighton, or southend in those heady days of bike/scooter freedom will tell you the "greasers" didn't go just for an ice cream, a bag of chips and a paddle in the sea!!Mods and rockers made front page news in those days, with their violent pitched battles along the seafront! As for the term "greasers"-the rockers/bikers used to fix their own bikes and were often covered in oil/grease-so i think that is where the name came from.
