If you learned a new word every day for 75 years, you would have 27,375 words. Since it is estimated that there are a million words in the English language alone, this is very doable.

In fact, the average English-speaking adult has a vocabulary of 20,000 to 30,000 words. So, on average, we do learn about 1 new word for each day we live!

Yes. here's one. "Kwaheri" which is Swahili for "Bye". All you have to do is randomly choose a word out of the dictionary each day or buy some SAT flash cards at Barnes and Noble. When you have chosen a word, either memorize the definition or use the word in a sentence. Write down the sentence in a special notebook and after a year has past, your notebook will probaby be complete!

Yes it is. There are so many words, that it's possible to learn a new word a day for at least a decade.

I think it's impossible NOT to learn one new world a day. I'm sure we learn more than one new word every day, sometimes in different languages too. Languages evolve daily and I think we keep up with it without really realising

yeah because think of all the new languages you could learn! forget about the English dictionary, try learning words from other languages. or, when the dictionary runs out of words for you to learn, you should start learning foreign ones!
