MJ seems the best and most natural to me. Neither of these names alone has a smooth nickname that comes from it. I always thought nicknames were supposed to be like shortened versions of the name., SInce you are trying to get a nickname for two names, MJ sounds best (you have a variety of other spellings like Emjay, Em-J, M-Jay, etc)

I suggest a nickname that only has either something for Monica or Jeanne, not both. I have an older friend named Monika, and her other friends call her Moni (MAH-NEE),

first of all that is a cute name. second of all i have a friend named monica and we always call her MONI. if you went with a nickname for jeanne i would do jeaney or something similar.
