My husband decided to leave me and his unborn 8 month old, besides this, the problem is is that he still drives my car. He has made "some" of the payments and i have always payed the insurance. He can't get a loan to take it off my hands and he seems to think it is his regardless of whos name is on it. I have taken it away before and had to give it back because he won't be able to work and pay for his apartment which then will be on my credit...so what would you do in this situation?

get your car back, if he left u he hasn't got too many feelings for u anyway. so what if he can't work and pay for his apartment, he is not with u, why do u care so much, as he has shown u no mercy at all. if u didn't sign for the apartment the debt is not yours. he is using u for the car, assuming he is entitled to it, and is not. u may want to consider a divorce as he is very immature and doesn't give a thought to your feeling's at all.

your caught in a difficult situation. Being 8 months pregnant and going through this emotional mess has got to be taking its toll on you. You have a couple of choices. Is he going to support you? IF you take the car away the how will he get to work? OOPS! THATS NOT YOUR PROBLEM . You could take the car in and trade down to the bare necessity ( if you wanted to be overly generous) and get a used less expensive car. This will mess with your credit score him being late. You need to stop paying for the insurance I bet you have got your hands full at this point, your not a walking mat. Get him to put the car in his name call the lender see if these is chance of it. Congrats on you new baby you are going to have, you have a very special gift and the most important thing for you to focus on is the child. What is best for the child. The effect it has on your credit may be worth the peace of mind you have if he doesn't have the car. He is a grown up if he wants to keep the car then he needs to pay for everything insurance and payments on time, That's what happens when you buy things. I can see he has a problem with commitment and follow through. Anyone can get a car, Believe me, He can get a car from a local car place there are a million of these dealerships they offer all kinds programs for those who can get a loan. He may not think the car is cool or he may not like his interest rate, but you may not like everything he has done either. That's how life is we don't always like things. But he is a grown up he needs to take responcibility.Take care of your self.

Get to the court house and file papers so that you have proof that you are not responsible for his credit problems. Then you go to the manager of his apt. with the papers in hand and demand that your name be taken off that lease. On those papers you also put in it that the car that is yours be returned to you. Been there and done it. You don't have to give the car back, he can find his own way to work. He is manipulating you into getting what he wants. Those court papers will be signed by a judge and will make it legal that you are not responsible for him. if you don't do this you will be sorry in the end. Oh yea and while your there to save yourself some time get and order for child support because it sounds like your going to need it. Be strong if your not you will lose in the end!

You need to get a legal sepertion agreement showing that the car belongs to you. Depending on what State you reside in, even if the car is in your name if it was purchased during the time of marriage it is joint property.

If your state has a "community property" clause the only way to make him stop using the car is to have it put in a seperation agreement that the car is going to be your property. You really dont have to worry because with you being pregnant during the seperation he has to provide you with a vehicle and if you only have the one car then most states will award it to you.

If you all are not ready to do the seperation paperwork, Take it to the dealer and have the door locks changed and dont give him the new keys.

Screw him get your car back asap. You need it to go to the doctor & when your baby comes you have to have a car to get around. He is the dumb *** that left you alone to raise a kid by yourself make him pay take the car & don't think twice. Congrats on your baby.

Honey,,,,you need to talk to a lawyer and get this mess straightened out before he really puts you in the poorhouse or worse yet in the nut house....Come down hard on him and make him do his own thing,,,He is just being a moocher and using you.
