This question is for women who have had a full downstairs wax, or for beauticians who've done them. How does the beautician manage to remove everything? How do they protect your most intimate parts, labia etc. How do you lose all sense of embarrassment? How frequent is this, or do most women just go for the bikini line. I'm genuinely curious. Please, do not answer with comments of a sexual nature!

I'm a male- but my wife has a Brazilian all the time.
When we're overseas I know she uses the Sally Hansens one and the Nads one. What you could do is wear a cheap cotton thong and pull it up so that the hair-part is exposed but not the very sensitive bare skin parts (labia minora, etc). Don't get that cream on your bare skin- it will hurt like heck- it happened to teh missus and she- long story- but bed-rest.

In a professional wax- I've seen it done-
They get you to take off your own undies and put on a pair of disposable ones- usually a thong.
Then you lie on a bed, stomach up.
They usually ask you to part your legs comfortably.
Then they apply warm wax, put on the cloth strips, wait and then pull it off in very rapid pulls.
They're very expert as they pull it off with the minimum pain and in the direction of the hair growth- so it's way less painful than doing it yourself (as I'm informed).
They usually wax one side first (getting you to cover the centre crease and other side with the undies), then the other, then the top and then the back & bottom area (depending on your hair density).
Sometimes you might have to go on all fours.
So, basically you wear the undies the whole time, covering up your most intimate areas by pulling the disposable thong up down, left or right.
It takes about 15-20 minutes.
I heard from my beautician friend Nat (an employee of my friend that owns my wife's favourite salon) that most women (from teenagers to grannies) and gays do the whole Brazilian. Gays of coarse do more as they're hairier.
A small number request shapes and almost always middle-age & older women request the bikini only.
Apparently- a lot of pregnant women around 8 months.

As for embarrassment- my friend told me she'd done 20 a day for 360 days typically, which is basically over 6000 ladies privates she'd strip bare in a year- and maybe those women would return every two or three months so that's 1000+ minimum ladies' intimates she'd see. I would assume tyhat would be a fairly typical workload.
Point being, she's seen everything there is to see- nothing is new- they've seen so many that they are a bit sick of the isght of them and are completely desensitized to male and female genitalia- no matter how out of the ordinary you think you may be- believe me you're not. Apparently, there are far more similarities than differences. And beauticians don't gossip among themselves about this kind of thing- because it's routine and boring for them.
I think it lasts around 6+ weeks before the hair regrows and can be waxed- and second time it is far easier.
Apparently it's not as painful as many make it out to be- but it is uncomfortable.

Great Question!

I love waxing everything between my legs. I do it myself and its quite easy to get into different positions once u do it regularly u get used to it. It doesn't hurt much if u do it regularly (I'v been waxing there for 4 years!!!) and trust me they are so light and soft now and makes me feel so sexy! All women should try it I think, but most back out bcuz they think it will hurt a lot.

As regards protection..... if u cut the waxing strips into thin strips which fit around u and carefully apply them onto the skin, making sure the internal labia and clitoris are avoided then u should be fine. I have never had any accidents all this time.

Try it!

I don't know how to answer how they manage to remove everything but I can tell you that you wear paper pants and have towel placed over your middle part. Only the part that is being waxed is exposed and everthing else remains covered up. I think that you will always feel embarressed and if you were to have a wax regurarly then it would be every 4-6 weeks.

I recommend buying veet and doing it yourself, it's just easier in the long run...

the hot wax is put on your private genetal area, but dont worry the woman who does it will hold down your skin so nothing gets in the way. she will use different length of strips depending what you want done or how much hair there is there.there is nothing to be embrassed about there is only you and the beauty expert, its like going to the docters its all done in a professional manner. alot of women go for a brazilian or a hollywood wax.not all women go for abikini wax some do some dont

OMG! i use a razor and they grow back out thick and itch like mad! dont do that but a wax seems interesting. I would go for one if i wernt so embarrased to show it all. I'm sure they are used to seeing bits liek a doctor is and there should be no embarrasements. I'm sur ethey will understand if you tell them that you are nervous but yyeeeehah, it must hurt like mad but its worth it i heared. All nice and clean and they grow back finer i think after a few wax sessions so overall worth it but hey dont be embarrased. They seen it all before. I'm sur ethey know how to handle these situations and what about a full brazilian wax :D after u've mastered the waxing bit and gone over the embarrasement, I want to have one done too. My friends sis used to be beuatician (she died suddenly with an epileptic fit :( but she did one to her sister (my friend) and she was practising but hey it hurts but if ur brave and up for a challenege then great. Go for it. Bet ur husband, boyfriend loves u even more. hehe.all smooth and sexy.

My daughter is a beauty therapist, but mostly only does bikini waxes. You do need to see someone who specializes if you want more than that.

I personally shave mine (all off) and don't have any problem at all. There is no potential embarrassment, i can get into all sorts of positions and its not a problem. Use a good mens razor and conditioner, not shaving foam.
