Well, let's see here. Assuming you mean megawatt, not magawatt, 1 HP is equal to 0.000746 Megawatt. By doing the math then, 1,341 hp would equal 1 megawatt.

Lots of nice web pages for power conversion formulas.

Added: remember, there is more than one type of horsepower. My answer is general horsepower, almost equal to electrical horsepower. But there is also steam horsepower, and a British horsepower. Ohms law, Power, P, measured in watts, is equal to I (impedance, measured in ohms, or Resistance) times E, (electromotive force, measured in volts.)

P = I x E

Then of course it can also be expressed in HP (horsepower) instead of watts.

One mechanical horsepower also equals 745.699 watts or .746 kW (kilowatts) of electrical horsepower. This means that if you really want to confuse people, you could complain about the 0.0268 horsepower light bulb your landlord has in the hallway as opposed to the mundane 20 watt measurement.

746 watt to 1 horsepower

746/1000000=.000746 MWatts
1/.000746=1340.4825 Horsepower to 1 MWatt

That dosent add up..... watt is the measurment of power...derived from ohms law of I squared times resistance.... and W = V x I or W = I2 x R or W = V2 / R Power for watts is made from Volts and resistance.... if you want a measurement of meggawatt. It has nothing to do with horsepower.....
