Go for a program called GOLDWAVE.
You can download from http://www.goldwave.ca/
Cost about $40.00 US.
Excellent audio editor program. Open in one format and save in another. Read the directions to dowload a free MP3 encoder that is necessary.

If you buy MP3 by dowload, there is a program called Hotkey Sounder Recorder that records MP3 files for any material that you want. Play the protected purchased song once while recording it to a new MP3 file with Hotkey and then you can copy as many times as you want - and share if you want.

If you have windows media center you can use the audio conveter plugin. Search it in the menu of windows media player.
I use ez cd-da converter. It has a 30 day trial. It can convert anything into anything, lol.

You might also find some free audio converters online.
Just google for it!
