You have a virus, malware or spyware. Start by running a scan with your anti-virus program. I recommend that you go to http://www.download.com and get AD-AWARE and SpyBot Search & Destory. Install, run, update and scan your computer with both programs.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

Sounds like Spyware or adware. Go to http://www.download.com and download the following software

Spybot Search and Destroy
Adaware
Spywareblaster
a-squared

these are free and should remove all spyware

If you still have problems try hijack this again free from download.com but a bit more complicated. You can paste the results in to http://hijackthis.de and it will tell you what should be removed

You've been hijacked (or rather your browser has).

It's worth getting an expert to check your computer out at:

http://www.webuser.co.uk/forums/ubbthreads.php/Cat/0

Register, go to the Hijack This Forum, read the instructions on how to post a log, give a brief description of your problem (like you've just typed) and post your log there. The guys in there are fantastic and trustworthy and will guide you through in getting rid of anything nasty from your computer.

You must post a HijackThis log as per the instructions, not just your problem.

Sounds like something naughty has hijacked your homepage settings.

Use a few decent spyware utilities to scan your machine. I use Lavasoft's Adaware, Spybot Search and Destroy, and Microsoft Windows defender.

At least one of these should find the little blighter and remove it for you.

If you still have trouble with I.E. just use firefox or opera instead.

Cheers.

When you finished changing the address in Internet Options did you select the "Apply" button? If not then you will keep following the same routine. If so then sorry if I didn't help much.

Somehow that's become your home page. All you need to do is go to ....tools......internet options..........and change that URL to whatever you'd like and save your changes.
