Important international issues cannot be decided by polls. Why would we need any Political leaders if all decisions would be made by polls. Who's peace are they talking about ? Doing surveys in 2004 and surveying 500 to 1000 people in each country shows that there is some bias being reported. I am curious to see that not all countries surveyed were listed. It is also curious to see in the article that they explained away the countries that did support the US, but, would not give that same kind of scrutiny to the countries that did not support the US. It all does not matter in the end. The spineless UN cannot and will not ever confront human tragedy in this world. Do you suggest we just crawl up and and bow down to this worthless organization. I think not.

A poll of 17,000 people in 15 countries? Hmmm that figures out to 1133 people per country. WOW that's sure a wide sampling (sarcasm intended)!!! Is that how Pew developed their International respect, by catering to international paranoia?
Oh, and then there's the BBC. the only news agency in the entire world, with the exception of al jazeera, that's more anti_american than CNN
My opinion is that you should sample a few polls from other, more reputable agencies and I think you might find that the result is startingly more the other way.
I have to wonder what kind of sick twisted mind doesn't recognize the threat to world peace presented by the maniacs in charge in Iran.

Oh, right, when Islamofascists attack and destroy, we're supposed to just turn our heads and ignore it. No response is necessary. Well, Boy Clinton did that for 8 long dreadful years and our reward was 3000 dead on 9/11. Thank God we finally have a president who will take the fight to the enemy. I don't really give a damn what the rest of the world thinks about us. We are trying to save our country from those who wish to destroy us. If the rest of the world is so blind that they can't see the threat, then God help you when the savages batter down your weak, spineless kingdoms and start lopping off heads.

if you are concerned with the people of this country i dont think so the mood swings were always there right from the start but talking about the government its bad politics because if the nuclear program can be sold to india then why not a country can develop its own ok we do have the right to keep an eye though but not to threaten somebody like that

I've seen these polls. It just goes to show how deep is the moral sickness pervading so much of the West. The West--Europe, Canada, and parts of America--has become so gutless in the face of a tyrannical Islamist enemy. I'm not really surprised though. Europe, with dangerously low birth rates, is killing itself off as Muslims immigrate and fail to assimilate. If anything, its Europeans assimilating into Islam than visa versa. If a country finds Iran more peaceful and harmless than the United States, I'd say that country is about wortheless to the security and future of a democratic and free world.

Without looking at your websites, I would ask whether they want to live peacefully under the Islamic fundamentalists by converting to Islam, rather than be killed for being an infidel. Most patriotic Americans can tell you that we are not in it for the popularity contest. Its about right and wrong, good and evil.

most countries are mad because America did in 200 years what most countries could not do in 2000 years, and that should make other countries stand up and take notice.radical islams are the threat to world peace.if other counties would start noticing that, then they would help eliminate it.

I agree with that because right now the American public has no control over what goes on in office and that is what sets us apart from other countries. Bush does what he wants despite the polls and the Congress just allows it even thought they have more overall power than the president. If we want to become more successful and look good in other nation's eyes the public should start becoming more involved in the politics of the US.

I am perfectly willing to accept that there are polls that suggest there are a lot of fools in the world. I could have told them that without their having to spend the money on the polls.
