Depends on your "special abilities". I have a few friends with special abilities that make them quite a bit of money.
Getting "rich" as you said, will take a toll on your personal life, and will affect you. But, to answer your question go with realistate, thats what I do, and it has made me my fair share of money.

I have been thinking of starting my own religion, seeing how it is tax free status if you have one. Maybe me and all my devotees can worship pet rocks, Al Waxman or the Man From Glad. Yeah, that's the ticket!!
