Let IRAQ to IRAQIs

Yeah, pretty much. The winning thing could be true because of limited commitment on the part of the US, which ties in to the international force issue. GWB has been trying, since the inception of the Iraq war to get support from other country's, with limited success. Henry's right about the leaving part, too. This is when we can take a lesson from Vietnam. We didn't give the pullout enough time, nor did we properly prepare RVN to go it alone. In Iraq, we are being as patient as is reasonably possible. Not only that, we best be prepared to offer emergency assistance in the event the opposition gets really aggressive.

I think that, generally speaking, this is a good idea, but...

(1st and foremost) It MUST be left to the Iraqis or otherwise America will be forever blamed for breaking that country, and you can easily guess what possible consequences can be.

(2) This idea is not really easy to implement, because there is no obvious way of how to draw the new borders to make everyone happy. It is, actually, very important, because, for example, the border dispute between Iraq and Iran killed more than 1 million people. In general, it is very hard to avoid a major bloodshed when borders are being drawn across oil fields.

I have no problem if the Iraqis decided to do this. Its their decision to make.
All the same Iraq never was a real country to begin with. Carved out of the ruins of the Ottoman Empire, as was Yugoslavia, once a political vacum happened, a civil war followed. The same thing is happening in Iraq.

Personally, that's what I think they should do. They should split Iraq up into three different and separate countries, and let them rule themselves. And, to make sure each group keeps to themselves, they should build big walls around the countries to keep the others out of it. It may be unrealistic, but it would probably keep things a little more peaceful. Put demilitarized zones around each country like there is between North and South Korea, and I'm sure things will be better. Or, we could just leave the country and let them kill each other out instead of letting them kill our troops because of them being in the way.

I believe that the Iraqis should choose their fait.
But if t was to be broken up things would get really bad.
Probably a civil war will start in Iraq which will finally make its neighbors to enter this war and that would lead to a middle east chaos which Iranians and Saudis will start a war which probably will be worst for the Iraqis themselves.

If it makes the country stronger-yes but I believe partitioning it will make it more easily be a haven for terrorism as it is already. When a country gets partitioned it is really only for artificially political stances which causes more rifts and somebody will always lose in this scenario due todivisional weakness for united we stand and divided we fall.

I may be alone in this but I think it should be up to the Iraqi's to decide not other countries that like to think they're saving the world all the time
