As others have said Spybot and Adaware are good for removing spyware. I would throw in a anti-virus scan as well to be sure it is just spyware. Then after you are clean get spyware blaster.

You can run a free online scan from Trendmicro. When I have tested it it takes some time to run it but it may be time well spent if it can fix any problems.

Download and run http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Download, update and run Spybot---http://www.safer-networking.org/ . Don't forget to use the Immunize feature.

Download, update and run Adaware---http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/products/select_your_product.php

Download SpywareBlaster---http://majorgeeks.com/download2859.html

SpywareBlaster doesn't scan and clean for spyware - it prevents it from ever being installed.

It's main features include:
- Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.
- Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.
- Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.

It all depends on whether you want to eventually pay money for an Anti-spyware program or not. If not then the free version of Ad-Aware(it also has paid versions but as far as I know they offer no trials for these) , Spybot - Search & Destroy as well as Windows Defender are all viable options. If you are there's Trend Micro Anti-Spyware, AVG Anti-Spyware and Spy Sweeper(each of these has time limited trials so you can check out the programs before buying them and all actually remove any found malware even in the trial version. I strongly recommend using at least 2 of these programs because the other may pick up things the other doesn't, especially with free versions.

They send the report to the sites from where they've come from.... they use ur bandwidth, this can eventuall yreduce ur browsing speed too.. They Use ur resources... So they are definitely harmufl... U can try some anti spywares like Microsoft antispyware, Spyware Doctor, the latest Yahoo anti-spyware which is bundled with the Messenger package...

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.

besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.
