Simple names are easier to remember........you wouldn't want a name like Admansatraronda ( just made that up) It depends on the time period and the type of book. If you are writing a realistic fiction, Meghann. If you are writing fantasy or sci-fi use Megara.

It should be the one that is easiest for your reader to pronounce in his/her head. That way, when they're reading, they don't stumble across the name every time. I'd go with Meghann.

Also, you should avoid having other main characters whose names also start with M.

All the Megan's mean pearl however as it is short for Margaret....
