To reset the light you have to use a code reader. If you got your local auto store they will check your codes but wont erase them. I bought a code reader from wallmart for $60 and it has paid for itself already. I fixed many small problems with my autos... mostly sensors..... you can erase the codes with the code reader.

Yellow check engine light means you have emission problem. It could be a dirty air filter, or loose air hose under the hood, or just your gas cap is bad, or loose. or hundred other things.
In most case computer reset itself with in few hundred miles of driving. Are you sure it's just air filter? It takes very dirty filter to set your light on

Oh no, try reading the instruction book on resetting this! My daughter had on and gave her a ton of trouble, do not mean to speak bad about this truck but she would have to get a lemon, she purchased this new, what a pain it turned out to be, we lived at the dealership!!
