i can't understand it. i made a point when i was younger to be accountable for things i did wrong. i have stuck to it but take the blame for others peoples mistakes too. We are very fickle us humans and if insecure we tend to revel in putting others down to make ourselves feel better. why do women buy so many of those magazines revealing actors and popstars cellulite, drug addictions, weight issues, affairs, drunken behaviour??? As long as they are showing us all this crap then there is no need to fix our own problems. Do you see the health and wellbeing, happy story magazines rushing off the shelves?

Maybe we realize they just learn something we didn't know. So much has been discovered by some one's mistake--Like your microwave oven, that man made the mistake of walking in front of a microwave radar which happen to be a big no,no, and low and behold he discovered his chocolate bar had melted in his pocket. He worked with that mistake and brought to us the microwave oven, and since I had worked with a similar radar I even wondered why the paper didn't melt. Wasn't the telephone one of A. G. Bell's mistakes?

How do you know we don't try to fix our mistakes (if we recognize them). What is wrong with bringing to light someone else's mistake? Wouldn't you want to know if you messed up? I would...I can't fix something if I don't know it's broken...
Accuse is a different matter...to accuse is to find fault or to blame, and while it's okay to find fault with someone or to place blame, it's often not delivered or accepted well.
Your point that people should look inward and clean up their own "house" first...too many look outward to find fault with others to boost their own self esteem rather than fixing what is wrong in themselves...that's not kewl.

its a kind of defense mechanism. We studied all about defense mechanisms of humans last year (3rd yr high school) & my teacher told us that some people, to avoid getting hurt, just ignore their problems, some just laugh at it & some are like what you've mentioned. They do it because they don't want to get hurt or to injure their pride, to admit that they're wrong. sometimes, the hardest thing to do is to admit that you actually made a mistake in something.

I do try and fix my mistakes and don't point out others unless I have done something that equal's that value, or try to help them fix it. I hope that makes sense.

Maybe people don't know that they are doing it? People have a funny view of themselves. I agree by the way, it's one of my pet hates.
