I am 14y and I love horror movies, in fact I just picked up The Fair Haired Child and The Omen 666. And I am trying to figure out If I have the 'stuff' to become a horror director. Most of the ideas I have a movies that are mostly pure torture horror.

Well maybe you could be a horror director give it a shot make a few home movies and enter them in a contest or show them to friends and family. Or You could also be an Actor...you could act from stuff you pick off of movies. Or you could be a producer or a writer.
+ directors aren't usually the ones who write the actually script...so you'd be working off someone elses Material.
Just go for it! follow a dream! O and you spelled career right lol.

Wow, you made me reflect a bit. I just pressed my youngest to get into a school that applies children from beginning middle and high school to focus on advance science medicine and to be fair art. I really want her to get a gos education and I pressed her to get it together to pass the entrance exams. She did and is doing well so far. Well your interest in psychology is a good one. This is a career that can help many, you can also offer help based on your faith. So those of the same faith can come to you for help and you can guide them. You are the one who has to live in your skin, you must be comfortable there. If you do not want to live in the skin of a Dr. then you can not as you will always wonder what if. Every time you are unhappy as a Dr. it will be their fault as you will say what if I became what I wanted to become then I could be happy going into work today.

Honestly dude at your age I thought i'd be a teacher and thought that into college, once I hit there I couldnt find a major I enjoyed then transferred to a different college and took one class in speech pathology and audiology and now im in that major. You never know where you'll end up in the end, take things slow and try to follow your passions by following hobbies and see where it takes you. Never decide something and think its set in stone, thats a hard lesson I learned.

Hey only your interest in watching horror movies will not decide your ability to be a director. You have to think of the scope in that stream. Even you have to think of other dos and don’ts.

That sounds just like me. Only i am 22. I enjoy writing them.
So if you have a thing about torturing your characters then you may have a shot. Good luck to the both of us.
