Is it a yellow abs and red brake light on at the same time? or a flashing yellow abs light while you are braking? If it is the first mentioned, you have a stored abs code for a fault in the system, which could be a bad connection, bad sensor, or abs module problem, your abs may not function as designed I recommend you have it checked asap, your base brake system should continue to function normally but with out the assistance of abs you could have an accident, so be carefull untill you have it checked out by a certified mechanic, I am a Chrysler Master Mechanic and an A.S.E. Everyone is quite correct - it is your breaking system. Normally the light indicates a fault and you really need to get it looked at. Most likely it is that you are running low on break fluid. Which is very cheap and easy to fix.

In the meantime if you do find yourself sliding in the wintery weather. Pump your break pedal up and down to prevent a skid. This is pretty much what your ABS does for you!

But do get it checked.
