at first I thought it was just a code word, but if you notice it is the code for the security key pad in the Miami airport, so maybe the thought was that Le Chiffre and his men got the key pad code (of numbers:3554747) and figured out a word that would correspond to it:ELLIPSIS easier to understand and remember

It's "ellipsis." It's the security access code for the security guard area of Miami International Airport.
