the packers won but they didn't make the play-offs because the giants and eagles won. if those teams would have lost then they would have made it at 8-8

No, they did not. They were eliminated long ago.In fact, the speculation out of yesterdays game was the Brett Favre will retire this year and announce it to the club within the next 3 weeks.
