Check your Function keys on your laptop. I am sure between F1 - F12 (F8 on some laptops) You will find a small indicator that shows sun on it. Click Function button on your laptop (Stated with FN initials on it near space bar, click both function and the F button you have found. Adjust it as you like.

The exact way to adjust the brightness will depend on the exact model that you are using. But as a general way, look carefully at your keyboard and look for symbols by light bulb or a sun,to use them you normally have to press function button at the same time.
Hope this help

Either hold the Fn button and adjust the brightness up and down with the up/down or left/right arrows on the keyboard, OR go into your power management programme and adjust it from there.
If both those fail, try sunglasses.

On my laptop I have a function key and the brightness up & down keys on my direction keys. I hold down the function and then adjust the brightness to what I want.

Function button - Fn and the associated F(number), to go with it - should have a sun or bulb picture. Same with volume.
Happy new year!
